OLENA CEMETERY
Northern Section
Olena, Stronghurst Township, Henderson County, Illinois

Transcribed by Kassie Rice

I started a survey of the Olena Cemetery during my Thanksgiving trip to Henderson County. I do not get back there but a few times a year so it will be awhile before it is completed. I am hoping someone else will take initiative and finish it or survey other cemeteries in the county so that we can get them online. There is a road that goes through the cemetery and divides the cemetery into what can be described as the northern part, middle, and southern part. I surveyed the northern part. I worked my way up and down the rows working my way from east to west. I transcribed the stones the best that I could. Keep in mind that some of the older stones have been worn, all the more reason to survey cemeteries, and are hard to read. As a result there could be some discrepancies. A blank line separates rows.
