Sale Bill for Estate
His will, which was entered for probate on May 5, 1879, was dated August 17, 1878:

In the name of God, Amen,

I William Heisler, of the county of Henderson and state of Illinois, of the age of 76 years and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish, and declare this my last will and testament, in manner following, that is to say:

First - All my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid out of my personal property.

Second - I will and bequeath to my wife, Martha Heisler, all my town property, in Dallas City to be her own forever. I also bequeath to my wife, Martha Heisler, all my Disco property during her natural life and at her death the property to be sold and the proceeds equally divided between my 3 daughters to wit, Sarah Forbes, Lydia Hunter, and Susan Fisher. I also bequeath to my wife Martha Heisler, her dower in the homestead, except 80 acres off the east side during her natural life, at her death said homestead to be sold and the proceeds equally divided between my 3 daughters. I also give my wife 2 horses, to-wit, one blind mare and one called Fanny, also Dearborn wagon, 2 cows, her choice, and all the property she had when married with samll bureau, also 1/3 of the proceeds of all my personal property.

Third - I bequeath to Sarah Forbes 80 acres or 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of section 36 in town 8 north 6 west Henderson County and state of Illinois known as the north 1/2 of the SE 1/4 36 to her and her heirs forever.

Fourth - I bequeath to Lydia Hunter the south 1/2 of the south east quarter of section 36 in township 8 north 6 west Henderson County and state of Illinois, to her and her heirs forever.

Fifth - And I also will and bequeath to my daughter Susan Fisher 80 acres of land, commencing at the center of the north line of section 35 and south line of 26, thence north on line of railroad land thence parallel with said railroad far enough for 80 acres by running south to line and east to place of beginning, known and described as the east 1/2 of the south west 1/4 of section 26, in township 8, north range 6 west in Henderson County and state of Illinois, to her and her heirs forever.

Sixth - I will and bequeath to Thomas Harvey and John Cooper, township trustees of Township 8 North 6 West Henderson County, Illinois, my lot of land known as my graveyard, and their succcessors forever, for burial purposes only.

Seventh - It is also my will and bequest that my administrators put a marble monument at the head of my grave in my graveyard, to be 10 feet high, and to cost not less than $125.00, with suitable inscription of my deceased family.

Eighth - And I hereby appoint Martha Heisler, my wife, and Sarah Forbes, my daughter, my administratix.
