6. GILLOOLY, PUTMAN I am researching any information on James Henry Gillooly that lived and raised a large family in Murphysboro. He married Katherine Putman, they had 13? children, some of whom were James, Charles, Thomas, William, Samuel Eugene, Thelma, Mary, Katherine Robert. 8. TURNER, LYNCH Seeking information on the family of William J. Turner (b 03/20/1821 Stewart Co., TN - m 10/08/1898 Benton Co., TN) who migrated from Benton Co, TN to Jackson CO in 1877. William J. Turner was the son of James Turner and the grandson of Jesse Turner.  William married Mary Ann Nance of South Carolina on 01/09/1845 in Benton Co, TN.  The children of Mary Ann Nance Turner were James Knox Polk Turner (b about 1845 - m Mary E. Lynch 02/21/1869), Lizzie Turner Cole (b about 1846), Richard Turner (b about 1847) and Willim Franklin Turner (b about 1852) The second wife of William was Hannah Adeline Lynch. 16. WALLER, THORP I am seeking information on the ancestors of my great-grandparents, William Joseph Waller and Mary Ellen Thorp, who were married in Jackson County in 1891.  The only information I have is a xerox copy of some notes written in pencil by my a now-deceased great-aunt.  What I can make out is that my great-great grandfather was William Waller who was born in 1824 and died in 1891.  I believe my great-great grandgrandparents on the Thorp side were (this could be wrong) Joseph Brooks Thorp (died in 1899 at age 75) and Harriet Hinchcliff Thorp (died 1863 at unkown age).  My great-grandmoter Thorp had two brothers and two sisters who were: Josuah Thorp (married Carrie Wilson), Sarah Thorp (married Sylvester Slagle), Sam (married Lizzie Etherton), and Ann (married John Waller, brother of great-grandfather William Joseph Waller).  G-g-grandfather Waller (William) had three sisters: Lavisa Etherton, Lavina Marshall, and Sarilda Robinson.  He had two wives: Lucinda (I don't know her last name) and Mary Ann Hagler.  Lucinda was the mother of my g-g-grandfather.  James Doody Doodyj@aol.com

21. EAST   Searching for the ancestors and any missing descendants of James P. East. James East was born in Illinois about 1828. His father was born in France and family tradition says the original name was changed to East. James farmed in the Grand Tower area and was single accourding to the 1850 census. In the 1880 census, James is married to Narcisse S. Thurman and has three children living at home: Adora Ann, age 16; John J., age 14, and George Henry (my greatgrandfather), age 4. Both James and Narcisse died after 1880. George was married in 1894 to Lulu Custer and they had one child, a daughter, before they were divorced. George then married Martha Carolina Rendleman (my greatgrandmother) in Oct. 1900 in Jonesboro, Ill. George was a member of the Knights of Pythias in Grand Tower and lived there until about 1945 when he moved to Cape Girardeau to operate a motel with his son, John Jefferson (b. 1903). 60. RUSSELL, HARRIS(S)   Seek information on family of William Russell (1785-1848) and Mary Ann Harris (1791-1857) who married on August 21, 1814 in Carteret County, NC. They moved to Jackson County, IL c1835 where they remained until at least 1848 when William died. Mary later moved the family into Perry County just a few miles north of the Jackson/Perry line. There children were: Anna Russell (1816-c1820), Mary Russell (b. 1818, married John Davis), John Russell (1821-1821), Leonard Delaney Russell (1823-1908), William David Russell, Sr. (1832-1918), and Daniel Russell (1836-c1845). 66. LAUDERDALE, HOBBS   I am trying to find the where abouts of my GR GR Grandfather John Taylor Lauderdale b January 15, 1838. John served as a Private in CO F 29' ILL Inf Vol in the Civil War. After the war it was assumed he settled in Jackson CO, IL. I found two John Lauderdale' s on the 1870 census. One with a wife Anna and a family. The other was listed with wife Nice A. and children Vincent Hobbs, Amanda Hobbs, Simpson Hobbs and Richard Hobbs. IL where Zachariah died in 1859 and Sarah died in 1861. They had children: John B. who married Mary Ann Davis 15 Jun 1841; Henry who married Nancy E. Turrner 14 Sep 1856; Nancy who married Edwin Moorehouse Hanson 17 Nov 1844; Rebekah who married Johas Crowell in 1853; and Martha who married John W. Boon 6 Oct 1859. The only things I have on her is that she was born in Murphyville, Illinois Jackson County, on; 04 July 1878. She has a brother William born in Jackson County about 1874, and a sister Minnie born about 1872. I don't know if there were other brother's and sister's. Their parents were James Americus Mayfield and Eliza Gray Mayfield. I have that James was born in Kentucky, (But not sure on that.) about 1844. And that Eliza was born in Illinois about 1854. William married Isabela "Belle" McCrary in Perry County Illinois on 21 December 1900. Ida Mae married Benjamin Franklin Bourland in Woodlawn, Illinois Jefferson County, on 22 April 1896. BRADLEY, TABOURING   Searching for information on James Bradley b.(approx.)1830 in Tennessee.   Wife Mary____?.  Children:  John, James, Eva, Charles.  Wife Mary born in TN as well as John and James.  Eva and Charles born in Illinois.  John, b.1861, was my G.Grandfather.  His sons, Herbert, Walter and Arthur later owned the Bradley brothers nursery in Carbondale. Walter was my grandfather. He married Muriel Tabouring. The new owners of that nursery have mail-order seed catalogs with my grandfather Walter and his brothers pictures in it, but are not willing to share.  So, I seek information on them all.   James Bradley, I cannot find in Tennessee. Would like to know James' parents name and birthplace.    I can't find  what Mary's maiden name was.
