"MaryAnn Robertson (Polly Roberson)"

(She has definitely been a brick wall.)

One of my brick wall's is located in Knox County, IL. My gr gr grandmother MARY ANN ROBERTSON (Polly Roberson) is living with George P. Housh in the 1850 Census, Knox County, IL.  She was born 29 July 1837 in Indiana married George W. Chitty 28 Feb 1856 Knox County, IL. She died 18 Feb 1901in Pennington County, SD. Five of their children were born in Knox County, William D. 1856, Viola K. 1858, Gertrude E. 1861, Laura F. 1863, John D. 1866. They moved sometime between 1866 & 1868 to Missouri then Iowa & in 1881 South Dakota.

There are (2) other children living with George P. Housh in the 1850 Census Knox County, IL.
Evaline Brown born 4 Feb 1842 Indiana married Jesse Simkins 14 Feb 1861 Knox County. She died 7 June 1928 Knox County, Death Cert. Father Thomas Brown, Mother Mary Housh.
Julia Ann Brown born 22 Nov 1843 Indiana married Henry J. Miller 17 Sep 1868 Knox County. She died 25 Feb 1932 Placer County, CA Death Cert. parents unknown.

My gr gr gr Mary Ann's obituary is titled MARY A. HOUSH. Julia & Evaline may be half sisters. I have not found their parents. George P. Housh came from Washington County, IN & I have also researched IN. I can't find guardianship records in either Illinois or Indiana.

I'm looking for suggestions & ideas of what to do. I appreciate all you "do".
