Galva City Hall has burial records beginning with year 1907. A fire destroyed all records previous, some of the stones were copied at that time but previous to 1907 the records are incomplete. Sally Nelson of Galva has been a great help in restoring the cemetery and of it's upkeep. They have a wonderful place where they on certain holidays perform a ceremony for our fallen Veterans.

Galva Cemetery is located 2 miles south of Galva on Highways 17/180. It's in the northwest corner of Section 3 of Lynn Township, Knox County, Illinois.

Below is a map of the Galva Cemetery drawn by previous Knox Co Genealogical Members. where you see the county line is a road I'm not sure how many people are actually buried in the first two sections they have. It's the oldest I believe part of the cemetery plus section 5. Thought this might give people who do not live here a chance to see how much of it is in Knox Co., IL with Galva being a big part of Henry Co., IL and the history of the Swedish people migrating to this area.
