GARETT CEMETERY
An old abandoned family cemetery located in Section of Victoria Township, Knox County, Illinois. It is about one and a half miles north and west of the Salem Cemetery. The land is now owned by the American Smelting Refining Company and both cemeteries are located in the Strip Mining Area.
GARETT, George R. d. 11 Nov 1851 in his 77 yr of life
Jane d. 9 Feb 1841 no age (dau. of J.S. & M. B. Garett)
Charlotte A. d. 10 July 1853 age 7 yr 9 mo 27 days (dau. of J.S. & M.B. Garett)
George W. d. 13 Dec 1855 age 3 yr 8 mo 13 days (son of J.S. & M.B. Garett)
