Elizabeth Nicholsaon, 47 years old, admitted in 1861 Augusina Wister, 28 years old, admitted in 1862, afflicted with rheumatism Mary Burt, 30 years old, admitted in 1865, Came from Valley township, became insane after a severe cold taken when about 15 years old. From her many antics about the house, particularly on moon shiney nights, she is called Wild Mary. She shows a most emphatic aversion to wearing any kind of clothes. She appears to be endowed with a good digestion. Louis Losey, is 79 years old, came from New Jersey, was admitted in 1868 from Goshen. Reason for admission, old age and inability to support himself. Caroline West, his daughter, is 44 years old, admistted 1868, subject to fits. Joseph Riley, 76, years old, admitted in 1869 from Elmira township, on the plea of old age. he is a native of England whither arrangments are being made to send him; the supervisors have boted money sufficient to pay his passage. He is a very industrious old man, although nearly blind, having frequently to grope his way, he visits all the pole fences in the neighborhood, strips off the bark and "totes" it to the house by the back load, thus keeping the house well supplied with kindling wood. Charlotte Hinkely, about 83 years old, admitted in 1865, from Toulon township, Reason, old age and scrofula. Matilda Timmons and two children, 4 and 9 years old, admitted in 1869, from Essex township. Reason; poverty. The youngest child, a bright eyed little girl, dislikes being termed a pauper and after eating at the Supt.'s table a few times, says she won't eat there with "them paupers". David Smith, about 17 years old; was admitted in 1870, from West Jersey township. Has the consumption and evidently will not long be an inmate of the Poor House or any other. He does not bear his affliction very patiently, but is rather profane in the expression of his desires and opinions. Johnson Jolman, admitted from Osceola township, insane was recently sent home to Ohio, by order of the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.
