The Jared Cemetery is located in the northeast quarter of Section 8 in Swan Twp. This is an abandoned cemetery about a mile from any road. Access to it is by driving a short distance along a field, then walking across a creek, through some timber and up a slight hill. The fenced cemetery is situated amid weeds and trees on this hill and is about a half acre in size. Many of the stones are broken and some are lying on the ground. Some of the graves are believed to not have been marked and tombstones destroyed through the years.
