Memorial Stone

    In the south east quarter of Section 13 in Hale Township on a hillside on the north side of the road is a long Grave that was identified in October 1981, as:

Sac___ the me_ory __ BE __N  M_Fall w___ July 2nd \, 1835  __years 5_ 6_ on the lower part of the stone: Joseph _mithers, engraver, __N County, Ohio also a fotstone with the BM intials.

According to articles in November 1937 issues of the Review Atlas Newspaper, Monmouth, IL, this stone might be identified as:

Sacred to the memory of Benjamin McFall who died July 2nd, 1835, aged 57years, 5months and 6 days.
