The obituary of William Venable who died in 1884 stated that services would be held at CP Church Liberty with burial at adjacent cemetery. I hav e been told there was a Liberty cemetery near Burnt Prairie in White County. Was there a CP Church and are there any records of burials in this cemetery or of this Church (possibly Cumberland Presbyterian)

Patsy is the dau. of Wade HAMPTON Sr., & Mary Polly MELTON. Wade died 21 Feb. 1842 in White Co., IL. He left no Will. I desperately need any information that would connect Patsy Ann to her father Wade. It is possible that a marriage consent signed by Wade exists. I am looking for information on a Jessie D. BUTTRY that was born in Norris City, IL married Emma GRAY also born in Norris City, IL. It was sometime in the 1800's. I was told that Jessie served as sheriff in Carmi, IL but can't find any information. One of the children "Roy D. BUTTRY" was born 5-29-1883 in Carmi, IL. That is all the information I have. I am looking for my mother-in-law who just turned 85. She doesn't know anything else about her grandfather and is very interested in finding out. Susannah was from Morgan Co., TN, but probably was a COBB by birth and stepdaughter of Charles Williams. Wesley SMITH married Mrs. Mary M. (TAYLOR) RANKIN, probably in Carmi, around 1883. Following children were born in Carmi: Ollive V. 1884, Gertrude A. 1888, possibly Clayton D. 1893 and Hattie 1895.
