My LEEs were in IL only briefly, roughly 1862 to 1875, living in Galliton, Hamilton, and (perhaps) White Co. Has anyone seen a marriage record for LEE and HARRIS in White Co., IL in this time frame? According to the 1840 Census index for White Co., Hiram PHILLIPS , Micajah PHILLIPS, Shadrack PHILLIPS and Richard (Richmond) PHILLIPS all living in the vicinity of each other. I know that Hiram was born Sept. 16, 1798 in Spartansburg, SC. Hiram migrated to Oregon. Shadrack, their father was born in SC abt. 1768. Micajah was married to Tabitha Lawler, either in TN or Al. When did Shadrack die? We believe it was sometime before 1835 in White Co. Any information on Richmond, Micajah abd their families would be appreciated.

Searching for parents of Peter Hoover. Peter Hoover, born in Maryland about 1799, lived in White CO, IL from about 1820 to 1870 and probably died there. Peter Hoover's son, Joseph M. Hoover married Mary Elizabeth Donal (or Danal)-Phillips and their 1st child, Joseph William Hoover, was born in Illinois about 1869. Joseph M. According to the 1840 Census index for White Co., Hiram PHILLIPS , Micajah PHILLIPS, Shadrack PHILLIPS and Richard (Richmond) PHILLIPS all living in the vicinity of each other. I know that Hiram was born Sept. 16, 1798 in Spartansburg, SC. Hiram migrated to Oregon. Shadrack, their father was born in SC abt. 1768. Micajah was married to Tabitha Lawler, either in TN or Al. George FRANKLIN (or Franklin George Jones wife--Daisy Jones George Franklin born in late 1800's in Spartansburg, PA (?) George and Daisy lived in Carmi in the late 1940's and early 50's. William Andrew CLEVENGER(b. 1839) son of Elizabeth (HALL) and John CLEAVENGER. Andy Clevenger, as he was called, was a bigamist- marrying Nancy Ann Thompson in Wayne county, IL in 1858, and deserted her and married Mrs. Nancy Jane (SINNETT) WILLIAMSON. She was a widow of Silas Williamson who died at battle of Shiloh in 1868. Her second husband and she lived in Springerton, during their short years together.
