What you can do to make someone's Christmas a little brighter.

1.  Give an afternoon of your weekend, and visit a local nursing home and/or hospital. So many of the elderly have no family, and you will more than brighten their day.

2.  Contact your any of your local charites or organizations, and volunteer to help make Christmas baskets.

3.  While doing your own Christmas shopping, buy an extra give and donate it to your local charity for children.

4.  On your weekly trip to the grocery store, buy some extra canned goods or non-perishables, and donate them to your local charity for the homeless and needy.

5.  On your weekly trip to the grocery store, buy a bag of dog or cat foot and donate it to your local animal shelter.  Try to remember the homeless animals at this time too.

6.  Invite a neighbor who has no family to dinner during the holidays.

7.  Put that pocket change you've just received from your purchase into the "kettle".  It will do someone a lot of good.

8.  Call your mother.

9.  Say a kind word to someone.  Try to overlook things in others, if even for a few days at Christmas.  You're gonna feel better doing this.  Ü

10.  Count your blessings.  We all feel we have the weight of the world on our shoulders from time to time, but look around...there is always someone worse off than you, and these things can make a bit of a difference, and make you feel wonderful during the season and every day of the year!
