Chippiannock Cemetery, South Rock Island Township, Rock Island Co., IL @ Illinois Saving Graves |
This is so unique. I went to Mindy's Tombstone Rubbing class @ this cemetery was how I happened to even be here. In the photo the woman off to your left is Mindy. She was telling up all about this wonderful stone. It was beautiful. Why I'm leaving it so large on here for you to get the feel of this one. I just wanted to stay there and look @ it. all photos on this page will pertain to this tombstone. Philander & Mary Cable Family Plot Philander Cable came to Rock Island with Philemon Mitchell in 1856. He brought $80,000 with him in which he invested in banks, coal and railroads.
