LIERLE CEMETERY, Liberty Township, Adams County, Illinois Located in NW 1/4 Section 6, Liberty Township. North of Liberty off Hwy 104 about 1/4 mile. Go to Five Points, south on Hwy 104 about one block. Look for an old dilapidated gate on left side of highway. Walk through gate and follow the fence through the timber about 1/4 mile to an old iron gate on the left. Go through this gate and straight ahead a short distance and you will see the stones. It is very difficult to reach, very woody and weedy. Many stones have fallen and were buried. Abandoned. (Canvassed approx. 1979 by Great River Genealogy Society) Sounds like this cemetery could also use some Help plus, we have a Revolutionary War Soldier buried here. If not for the Revolutionary War where would be today. What a way to honor his last resting place and that of his family......
