Adamson Cemetery, Honey Creek, Adam County--- Lost & Never to Found Email from "Kathy Mills" your county coordinator: By the way, the Adamson cemetery listed cannot be found, to my knowledge. I tried. A county (gravel road) was put through a field and that's how they found the graves.....and to my knowledge there were only 4 found. I know this because one of the graves was for one of my lost relatives Silas B. Haworth. He had left his parents & family in NC and no one knew where he went. He married Mary Elizabeth Eubanks, and they are both buried out there. Silas B. Haworth (Hayworth) b: Aug 1808 d: 28 July 1849 Honey Creek Twp. Mary Elizabeth Eubanks 1822-18 July 1847 Honey Creek Twp. They had 2 daughters who survived and were raised by the Eubanks grandparents in Honey Creek Twp. Sarah Ellen Haworth born 1842 and Lucy C. Haworth born 1844. (I think they lived in Fowler). Mary's sister Lucy Eubanks married Thomas B. Adamson. They apparently lived near Silas & Mary. They are also buried in the same "site". Lucy Eubanks 1829-12 Aug 1850 and Thomas B. Adamson 23 July 1825 - 12 Dec 1851. Since they all died within a couple of years, I would guess bad water or some sickness. There were very likely children buried out there too. It's pretty sad that a road can be put in and the stones not preserved at least. Would be interesting to know what they did with this cemetery.
