The photos above are thumbnails and different views of the
Curless Cemetery taken in different directions. The bottom two are over in
the easterly corner back behind where some of the older tombstones in this
cemetery if something isn't done to safe them will be gone. There are even
some newer tombstones that have been toppled over as you can see from the photos
below. It looked like it well mowed, and there are newer tombstones
photos, it appears they still use the cemetery today. It's not a big one.
The tombstone photos don't have their names below them yet. But wanted to
get these online here.
Have a wonderful day & Happy Gene Hunting.
The Lost Key
Syndrome
I was on my way to Quincy to see
my friend Kathy when she was still living here. I can't hardly resist
stopping at a cemetery and taking a few photos. I had my dog Rachael with me and
thought she could use a little walk after almost two hours in the car. But then
when I got ready to leave I couldn't find my car keys. I was so upset. I
looked and looked and couldn't find them. I thought I had locked them in the
truck and couldn't get them out. So, I ended up calling Kathy and they
were going to come and get me and beings I was about half hour or so away from
Quincy I decided to take a few more tombstone photos while waited for them.
In the process, I found my car keys sitting lazily upon a tombstone where I had
apparently laid them. I called Kathy back and told her they didn't need to
come as I had found them We laughed about it. But thought would
share my little experience I had at the Curless Cemetery with the lost Keys
syndrome. |
