Evergreen / Chase Cemetery, Fowler IL.

Gilmer Township

This cemetery is located southwest of Fowler IL on county road 1320E.   On the west-most edge of Fowler, turn south on county road 1316E.   Travel south for a short distance (approximately half a mile), then turn east onto county road 1320E.   Follow the road around the curve to the south, the cemetery will be on the east side of the road.   This cemetery may not be in use anymore, as the  most recent burial was in 2001.   However, it is still being mowed.   Some of the stones are already unreadable, and many are broken, laying on the ground, partially covered, some totally covered.   I'm afraid this cemetery could use some help in the next few years or more of it will be lost to nature.
