Jefferson Cemetery, Concord Twp., Adams County, IL

JEFFERSON CEMETERY-Concord Township, Adams County, Illinois

SE 1/4 Section 9.  Located SW of Clayton.  Go South out of Clayton to County Road 1800N, turn right (west) about 1 1/2 miles to County Road 2773E.  Turn left (south) and go about 1 1/2 miles.  On the left side of the road is a farm gate with Jefferson Cemetery sign.  There is no lane to drive on to reach this cemetery.  At the gate, Walk directly east for about 1/4 mile through a field and pig lot.  There is another gate into the cemetery itself; the pigs cannot get to it.  It is nestled in among tall trees and cedars.  The cemetery is well cared for and many graves had been decorated.  It is not forgotten.
