Directions:     North from Bluffs on Rte 100 to airview Road, follow sign
to Fairview Cemetery, and pass cemetery about .5 miles, on right side of
road, across field in wooded area, an old wash.  An area in
the field still shows the base area of a huge antenna, and the
cemetery is past that...the antenna fell some years ago.

Other Information:
I believe the land might now be owned by the College in Jacksonville, IL. That was what I was told in 1999. 

There are at least 4 war veterans
buried here:  D.S. Chapman, James H. Chapman, Benjamin Curry and William  T. Merriss.

 This land was originally owned by one of the early settlers, John Bethuel Merriss, and all buried here were either family of John B.  Merris and his wives, Eliza & Caroline, or were neighbors and friends.
