Point Isabel is an old shipping point on the Illinois river, at the mouth of Spoon river and directly opposite Havana, being on the southeast quarter of section 29. It is now the southern terminus of the Fulton County Narrow-Gauge railway soon to be finished to Fairview, and thus the place will have enlarged opportunities for trade.

Travel south from Duncan Mills to the first road, turn right west and go about ½ section, watch on the right side. Very little left but one stone & a few footstones.

Garlisch Cemetery Section 28 Isabel Twp., Fulton Co., Ill

The Garlisch cemetery is on land owned by Alexander Beckelhymer in 1871, in 1864 the ground was in the possession of Sam Garlisch--Name of cemetery--and in 1974 the property belongs to Nelson Fornoff.

This might have been a good sized Cemetery at one time, it is marked by a cross on the 1871 Plat book of Fulton Co., Ill by 1974 the cemetery has disappeared and only one stone remains and part of another. The cemetery is on private ground and permission must be obtained. Inventoried 1974 by Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Gibboney.

Holmes, Mary A. died May 13, 1850 2y1m17d dau of Thomas J. & K.

Holmes, Benjamine F. born 1846 died ??? son of Thomas J. & K. stone is broken off and holding up a gate in 1974.
