Kearney Cemetery Section 33, Isabel Township, Fulton Co., Il.

Kearney Cemetery is a catholic cemetery with many Irish people buried here. Traveling south on route 100, turn right just short of Enon, Ill,  on a black top road to the top of the first rise and look right and Cemetery is at the top of a hill. it can easily be seen. there is a road between two fences that goes up to the Cemetery. Recorded by Mr. & Mrs. Lyle Smith in 1974, revisited in 1996 by George & Phoebe Drumm.

Thomas P. Kearney, farmer and stock-raiser, sec. 33; P. O., Marbletown, is a son of Patrick Kearney of Isabel twp. Patrick Kearney crossed the ocean in an early day. He had previously married in Ireland Bridget Falon, who has become the mother of 7 children, none of whom survive, however, save the subject of this sketch. Thomas grew up in Fulton Co., where he received his preliminary education, afterwards taking a business course at Notre Dame, Ind. After receiving a liberal education he returned to Fulton Co., where he has since successfully followed farming. In 1867 he was married to Miss Mary, daughter of Peter Lally, of Havana, by whom he had 6 children, 4 of whom are living: Anna, Bridget, Mary and Kate.
