Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens appeared to Kate & I as much newer cemetery. All of the stones appear flat and you can see flowers sticking up out of vases. It was really very pretty. This was the first cemetery we saw as we were leaving Mt. Vernon, IL. So, I had to drive around it with the big monument in the back of it.
