To find this cemetery follow these directions: while on Illinois State Route #97 heading North through Petersburg, go to the Lincoln Trail Road, which is the third road past R & H Home Supply just outside of Petersburg. Turn right -east- on the Lincoln Trail Road, go approximately a half of a mile to a grassy lane between two fields. Follow the grassy lane back to the cemetery - about a quarter of a mile. This cemetery has a flag pole, is fenced and very well maintained. Cemetery has a marker showing the original burial place for Ann Rutledge, first love of Abraham Lincoln. Her remains were later removed to Oakland Cemetery which rests just outside of Petersburg.
