Fagotte Cemetery, Tazewell Co., IL
Off Meuller Road at South end of Springfield Road.

This is an endangered cemetery that has seen a great deal of vandalism since the early 1950's. This cemetery is one of a very few remaining with French graves from families dating to the later 1700's. The Fagotte Family still resides in East Peoria though their interest in the cemetery is minimal. except for the family matriarch. It is mowed regularity by the current (2006) land owner. Attempts to mend broken stones has occurred but professional aid is needed. Steve has taken these photos in an attempt to retain this cemetery for future genealogy records.
