Enlisted in Indiana National Guard, Company E, 4th Infantry, Marion, Ind., June 1, 1917. Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to Battery C, 139th Field Artillery. Died of cerebral hemorrhage, Camp Shelby, Miss. Buried in Nashville, Tenn.
