Son of John R. and Josephine Delong; born November 21, 1897, Jonesboro, Grant County, Ind. Farmer. Entered service August 15, 1918, Marion, Ind. Sent to Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce School for mechanical training. Later transferred to Ft. Wayne, Mich., where he died of apoplexy, December 17, 1918. Buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Gas City, Grant County, Ind.
