Son of Warren Fred and Mary Ann Droud; born March 12, 1896, Kosciusko County, Ind. Moved to Grant County in 1916. Moulder. Entered service July 13, 1918, Marion, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; transferred to Camp McClellan, Ala.; assigned to Battery D, 36th Field Artillery. Died of pneumonia October 13, 1918. Buried in Earlham Cemetery, Richmond, Ind. Survived by widow, Belva Shearer Droud, and one daughter, Olive Lavon Droud, Bloomington, Ind.
