Son of Samuel S. and Mary Hileman (Oliver); born July 29, 1897, Marion, Ind. Employee of glass factory. Entered service December 15, 1917, Marion, Ind. Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to 158th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Coast Artillery Corps, 11th Anti-Aircraft Battery. Overseas in July, 1918. Died of pneumonia October 5, 1918, Paris, France. Buried in Paris.
