Son of Amos and Mary Holloway; born June 9, 1890, Monroe Township, Grant County, Ind. Musician. Attended Marion Conservatory of Music; member of National Military Home Band, Marion, Ind. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army march 28, 1916, Marion. Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo.; assigned to 30th Infantry Band. Transferred to Headquarters Company, 39th Infantry. Overseas in May, 1918. Killed in airplane raid August 1, 1918, Fere-en-Tardenois, France. Buried in American Cemetery near where he fell.
