Son of Joseph M. and Lillie D. Keith; born September 5, 1887, Sharpsville, Tipton County, Ind. Family later moved to Jonesboro, Grant County, Ind. Chairmaker. Entered Service June 27, 1918, Marion, Ind. Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to 8th Company, 2nd Training Battalion, 158th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Machine Gun Company, 336th Infantry, 84th Division. Overseas in September, 1918. Died of pneumonia October 10, 1918. Buried, Menezterol Montignac, Dordogne.
