Son of William C. and Gertrude Lindsey; born November 18, 1887, Linn Grove, Adams County, Ind. Baker. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army in 1907, Columbus, Ohio. Stationed in Cuba and various parts of the U.S. Placed in Reserves; called into service from Marion, Ind. at outbreak of World War. Sent to Camp Wadsworth, N.J.; assigned to 33rd Company Coast Artillery. Overseas in July, 1918. Died of pneumonia October 13, 1918. Body returned, and buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Marion, Ind.
