Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to Company B, 2nd Development Battalion. Died of pneumonia October 4, 1918, Camp Sherman, Ohio. Buried in Elizabethtown Cemetery, Delaware County, Ind. Survived by widow, Margaret Smith Lytle (Cox), Summitville, Ind.
