Meyers, Earl Otto.....................Sergeant
Son of Wesley and Nellie Meyers; born April 19, 1898, Putnam County, Ohio. Moved to Grant County, Ind. in 1906. Farmer. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army May 7, 1917, Marion, Ind. Sent to Syracuse, N.Y.; assigned to Company A, 39th Infantry. Transferred to Camp Greenem N.C. Overseas in May, 1918. Fought at Chateau-Thierry, and in Meuse Argonne Offensive. Died of pneumonia November 13, 1918, Base Hospital No. 51, France. Buried in Justice Hospital Group Cemetery, Toul, France.
