Son of John and Sarah Stout; born July 16, 1894, in Cass County, Ind. Family later moved to Marion, Ind. Butcher. Entered service May 22, 1918, Monticello, Ind. Sent to Nitro, West Va.; assigned to Company B, Development Battalion. Transferred to Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind., where he died of pneumonia, October 9, 1918. Buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Marion, Ind.
