Sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo.; thence to Washington Barracks, D.C. Transferred to Camp Merritt, N.J.; assigned to Company F, 1st Replacement Regiment Engineers. Overseas in May, 1918. Transferred to Company E, 2nd Engineers. Killed by shell fire October 3, 1918, Somme Py, France. Buried near Louvain, France.
