The Junior Class
The eleventh grade reappeared
in school at the beginning of the year with almost 61 members in its ranks. They
battled hard over their studies the first few weeks of the school year. Then,
they decided it was time for them to show their extra talents here in F.H.S.
They selected the play "Grandma Steps Out" and presented it November 17 and 18.
The Juniors held their first
party in the gymnasium of the high school. They played several games, and
refreshments of cider and doughnuts were served. The next part was held at the
high school and was a pot luck supper in the Home Economics Room. As a new
project, they also played hosts to the Senior class at a "Junior Mixer" party.
This is the first party of its kind to be held here in this school, and the
party proved to be a great success.
The Juniors also did their
part in collecting scrap for the national defense. Miriam Salisbury, was next to
the highest in the school in turning in a large amount of scrap metal.
The class had as its class
colors green and white. They bought their sweaters last year and their class
rings this year.
Miss Cynthia Miller and Mr.
Donald Stanley were the sponsors.
