Training: Camp Taylor, KY; Camp Sherman, OH: Camp Mills, NY. Assigned to Company M, 334th Infantry; transferred to Company G, 18th Infantry. Private first class, August 5, 1918; corporal, September 20, 1918; private, March 19, 1919; private first class, September 1, 1919. Overseas September 2, 1918 - September 8, 1919. Battles: Meuse-Argonne, Sedan. In Army of Occupation. Discharged September 27, 1919.

Married Madelena Celena Vervaet. Son, Henry; daughter, Elise.   Mishawaka.
