EVANSVILLE STATE HOSPITAL CEMETERY

IN FOND MEMORY OF ALL PERSONS WHO DIED WHILE A PATIENT
OR RESIDENT AT THE EVANSVILLE STATE HOSPITAL SINCE THE FOUNDING
OF THE FACILITY IN THE YEAR 1890

HERE LIE 33 UNKNOWN PERSONS DISINTERRED FROM THE EVANSVILLE
STATE HOSPITAL CEMETERY AND REINTERRED HERE IN JUNE OF 1985.

AND HERE LIE 32 UNKNOWN PERSONS DISINTERRED FROM THE EVANSVILLE
STATE HOSPITAL CEMETERY AND REINTERRED HERE IN JUNE OF 1987.

Evansville, Indiana

These unmarked graves were discovered during road construction
on the North side of the Evansville State Hospital property in the 1980's
