    Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Clump Goodwin; born July 21, 1892, Chicago, Illinois. Family moved to Blackford County, Indiana in 1898. Painter. Enlisted in U.S. Aviation Service in December, 1916, Columbus Barracks, Ohio. Sent to San Antonio, Texas; then to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; then to San Diego, California. Killed airplane accident, December 3, 1918, while attempting a  test flight, San Diego, California. Buried in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
