Paul O.E. Moyer...........Private

    Son of William H. and Della Moyer; born November 10, 1900, Hartford City, Indiana. Student in high school when he enlisted in U.S. Regular Army, April 15, 1917. Sent to Columbus Barracks, Ohio. Transferred to Ft. Constitution, N.H.; assigned to Battery F, 12th Field Artillery. Died of pneumonia January 19, 1918, on board the Olympic, enroute for England. Body returned and buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Hartford City, Indiana. The Paul Moyer Post of the American Legion, Hartford City, is named in his honor.
