John Raymond Boyd........Private

    Son of Charles and Martha Boyd; born March 8, 1890, Switzerland County, Indiana. Removed to Aurora, Dearborn County in 1912. Employee of Indianapolis Chair and Furniture Company. Called into service March 29, 1918, Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky. Overseas in July, 1918; assigned to Company A, 26th Infantry, 1st Division. Took part in battle of St. Mihiel. Killed in action October 5, 1918, in the Battle of the Argonne Forest. Buries in American Battle Area, Exermont Ardennes, France.
