Christ Lommel
Christ Lommel, Lawrenceburgh, the able superintendent and treasurer of the Lawrenceburgh Furniture Manufacturing Company, was born in Germany, in 1834, and grew up to early manhood in his native country. In 1851 he immigrated to the United States, and soon after he began operations with the above named company, with which he has since been connected. Mr. Lommel is among the foremost citizens of Lawrenceburgh, both in civil affairs and business enterprise, having for some time represented one of the wards in the city council, of which he is at present a member. He was married, in 1868, to Miss Lena Kirsch, by whom he has seven children living, namely: Louise, Charles, Katie, Henry, Edward, Tina and Arthur. Amelia is deceased.
