Sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky; assigned to 22nd Company, 6th Training Battalion, 159th Depot Brigade. Transferred to Camp McClellan, Alabama; assigned to Battery D, 27th Field Artillery. Died of influenza October 15, 1918, Camp McClellan, Alabama. Buried at Yorkville, Dearborn County, Indiana.
