Antony Schott
Antony Schott, farmer, York Township, was born in Germany, January 1, 1838. His parents, Antony and Frances (Ott) Schott, who were both natives of Germany, came to America in 1845. They located in Cincinnati, where they resided ten years, when they purchased land in York Township, where they subsequently lived till their respective deaths; the mother March 11, 1870, the father in April, 1876. Antony Schott, the subject of this brief notice, was brought up to the years of maturity by his parents. At the age of thirty-three years he married Cecilia Feist, who was born and reared in this county, a daughter of George and Phillippa (Schoenetzer) Feist, who were natives of Germany. They have five children living: William Frank, John, Henry and Ottillia. In 1872 Mr. Schott purchased his present farm of 105 acres, on which he has since resided, engaged in agricultural pursuits.
