Howard Slaybach....................Sergeant
Son of Benjamin and Lucretia Slaybach; born April 28, 1899, Boone County, Kentucky. Moved to Dearborn County, Indiana in 1907. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army in February, 1917, Columbus Barracks, Ohio; assigned to Company D, 28th Infantry. Overseas in June, 1917; assigned to First Division. Fought at Cantigny, Soissons, Meuse-Argonne. Died of tuberculosis April 20, 1919, Coblenz, German. Body returned to U. S., and buries in East View Cemetery, Patriot, Indiana. |
