John M.C. Guldenzopf
JOHN M.C. GULDENZOPF is a native of Germany, and was born February 26, 1828. His father, John H. Guldenzopf, was also born in Germany. John H. Guldenzopf married and lived in Germany throughout his life, leaving a family of four children –Marmon L., John M.C., John M. and Wilhelm M. Our subject, John M. C. Guldenzopf, is the only one of his family now living, and emigrated to America in 1848, landing at New York City, whence he went to New Orleans, thence to Florida and Tennessee, thence to Joliet, Ill., and thence in 1855 moved to Jasper County, Ind., thence to Illinois, and thence again to Jasper county in 1856, where he was married July 12, 1860, to Amelia Zoborasky. This union was productive of seven children –Louisa I., John H., Emma N., Ettie B., Mattie A., Julius V. and Caroline R.
