Louis Muth
Louis Muth, farmer, Monroe Township, was a native of Bavaria, Germany; came to this country with his father, John Muth, who settled in New Marion, Ripley County, Indiana. Louis learned the tailor's trade, but preferred farming. He married, in 1872, Miss Margaret Friedersdorff, a native of Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. The result of this marriage was four children: George, aged 17; William Bright, aged 14; Minnie, aged 11; and Maggie, aged 8. Mr. Muth belongs to the Lutheran Church, and is opposed to secret orders. He owns 150 acres of land, and is a good farmer and a contented man.
