    Son of George L. and Margaret Selig; born March 9, 1895, Madison, Indiana. Employee of munition plant, Carnegie, Pennsylvania where he was called into service in February 1918. Sent to Camp Lee, Virginia; assigned to Company I, 145th Infantry. Went overseas (date not known). Died November 1, 1918, from wounds received in action. Buried, "Somewhere in Belgium."
