    Son of Frank and Annie Weber; born January 24, 1900, Madison, Indiana. Spinner in cotton mill. Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army March 28, 1917, Madison, Indiana. Sent to Fort Thomas, Kentucky; assigned to 28th Infantry. Went overseas in June, 1917. Participated in battle of Cantigny, and was killed in action June 14, 1918. Body to be returned to U.S. for burial in Springdale Cemetery, Madison, Indiana.
