Sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky. transferred to Camp Shelby, Miss. Sailed for France, May 2, 1918. Assigned to Company B, 103rd Infantry, 26th Division. Killed in action September 26, 1918, St. Mihiel. Buried at Thiaucourt, Grave 207, Section 16, Plot 4. Survived by widow, Gleeda Spoor, Albany, Oregon.
